Questions
Is Solarterium a projector or a planetarium device?
No. Solarterium is an experience delivered through Umbra eyewear. There is no projector, tabletop unit or separate Solarterium hardware.
Do I need the Solarterium Edition to use Solarterium?
It isn’t intended that way. The Edition uses the same Umbra eyewear with special presentation. The goal is for compatible Umbra eyewear to access Solarterium without it.
Can I buy Solarterium or Umbra today?
No. Both are in development and nothing is offered for sale. We don’t publish prices or release dates we can’t stand behind.
Is the Solarterium app available?
Not yet. It has been registered with the app stores but not released, so there are no download links.
Is the imagery live, or telescope magnification?
No. Celestial imagery is artistic rendering or archival spacecraft photography, never live, and “Bring It Closer” is an exploration visualization — not optical magnification.
Can I use Umbra to look at the Sun?
Never. Umbra is not solar-protection equipment. Do not use it, or any Solarterium experience, to look at the Sun.
