The relationship

Put on Umbra. Enter Solarterium.

Umbra is the eyewear. Solarterium is an experience designed for it. The celestial experience is delivered through Umbra — there is no separate Solarterium device.

The eyewear

Umbra

Umbra is the eyewear platform from Reality Modulation. Solarterium does not change the glasses — it is one of the experiences they are designed to carry.

Umbra eyewear is itself in development. Images are concept renders, and specifications are not published here.

How you get there

Umbra → Experiences → Solarterium

  1. 01  Umbra

  2. 02  Experiences

  3. 03  Solarterium

Proposed flow — Umbra → Experiences → Solarterium. Interface concept, not final design.

What Solarterium is not.

  • Not a projector

Nothing is projected onto your walls or ceiling.

  • Not a tabletop planetarium

There is no dome, no base unit and no room device.

  • Not a second pair of glasses

Solarterium is an experience within Umbra, not separate hardware.

Umbra’s lenses let you see the world through them, so how dark and deep the celestial view appears depends on the eyewear and on your surroundings. That is still being validated, and we won’t claim a result we haven’t measured.

Already have Umbra?

Solarterium is intended as an Umbra experience — not a requirement to buy another pair of identical glasses. The goal is that compatible Umbra eyewear can open Solarterium without the Solarterium Edition.

How Solarterium will be delivered to existing eyewear has not been announced.
